- Equipped with an LED headlight
- To be unveiled at the EICMA this year
- Equipped with tubular handlebar and adjustable levers
While Royal Enfield gears up to debut its first-ever electric motorcycle at the EICMA this year, the test mule of the same bike has already been spotted overseas. These images show the prototype of what will be Royal Enfield's first-ever production electric motorcycle.
Similar to the patent design we have seen so far, the Royal Enfield electric motorcycle test mule gets a round LED headlight and a slim and low-slung build. The test bike seen here is also equipped with adjustable levers, and the turn indicators are mounted closer to the instrument console.
Its hardware consists of girder forks, alloy wheels with road-biased tyres, and an exposed rear fender. The footpegs appear neutrally set and the rearview mirrors appear identical to the ones we see on the current Classic 350. That said, the battery and motor details are unknown as of now. It appears that Royal Enfield has used aluminium at quite a few places on its first electric motorcycle. Front forks, main frame, swingarm, and more.
Royal Enfield could use the Classic tag for the electric motorcycle given the name's established popularity.
