- Royal Enfield exports increase by 97 per cent
- Domestic sales grow marginally
The Chennai-based two-wheeler manufacturer, Royal Enfield, has released it sales data for the month of July. The report reveals that the company witnessed a drastic 97 per cent rise in its exports while domestic sales grew by a meagre four per cent.
Royal Enfield exported 4,748 two-wheelers in July, 2021, up from 2,409 units in the corresponding month last year. Meanwhile, domestic sales went up from 37,925 units in July last year to 39,290 units in the same month this year. Although RE didn’t disclose model-wise sales numbers, the Classic 350 was certainly the highest-selling model as always. It’s also worth noting that Meteor 350 has also been witnessing a gradual rise in demand ever since its launch in India.
Exciting times lie ahead for Royal Enfield and its fans as the company has planned to launch one product every quarter for the next seven years. These include a host of products belonging to its new ‘J’ as well as 650cc platforms. The company will also be launching a scrambler, to be called the Scram 411.
