- Royal Enfield Guerrilla to be sold in two variants
- Top-end variant will get a colour TFT screen
- Launch on 17 July
In less than 15 days, Royal Enfield will launch its much-awaited motorcycle – the Guerrilla 450 for the Indian as well as international markets. But there’s no need to wait till 17 July to see this motorcycle as the production-ready pictures of the bike have already been leaked.
From these pictures, it is clear that Royal Enfield will offer the Guerrilla 450 in two variants. The top-end variant will get the full-colour TFT screen that is seen on the Himalayan 450 and also a dual-tone paint scheme. The other variant will receive the semi-digital cluster along with Tripper turn-by-turn integration that is seen on the Meteor 350. This variant will also get the less premium-looking single-tone paint scheme.
In terms of cycle parts, the Guerrilla 450 will get 17-inch alloy wheels, block-pattern tyres, telescopic front forks, and a single-piece seat. The rest of the cycle parts and performance aspects have been borrowed from the Himalayan. The 452cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine makes 40bhp of peak power. But the gear ratios are likely to be different to suit the bike's city-use nature.
We believe the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 will have a starting price of around Rs 2.3 lakh (ex-showroom) and the top-end variant could get a price tag of Rs 2.45 lakh (ex-showroom). Its direct rival – the Triumph Speed 400 recently saw a price cut of Rs 10,000 to counter the upcoming Royal Enfield.
