- MBP C650V unveiled
- Powered by 647cc engine
- Could rival Royal Enfield Interceptor 650
Chinese-owned motorcycle manufacturer MBP has taken the wraps off the C650V cruiser internationally. In those markets, the motorcycle will take on the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Super Meteor 650.
The significant feature of the C650V is the 647cc, V-twin engine that churns out 68bhp at 8500rpm and 62Nm at 7000rpm. MBP claims a top-speed of 175kmph, which is good enough for the segment. To bring the C650V to a halt are a pair of Nissin-sourced disc brakes at the front, a single-disc at the rear, and dual-channel ABS. Meanwhile, suspension duties are taken care of by KYB upside-down forks and a monoshock at the rear which offers 55mm of travel. As for features, the MBP C650V comes fitted with two display screens- one on the handlebar and the other on the fuel tank. Other than that, it gets full-LED lighting for the headlamp turn signals and tail lamp.
But the C650V seems heavily inspired by the Harley-Davidson Fat Bob when it comes to styling. And hence, it sports a power cruiser styling complete with fat tyres, a muscular fuel tank, twin pipes and a pillion back rest. While the MBP C650V is not yet available even in international markets, it is expected to go on sale by early 2023. However, it will not make its way to India anytime soon.
