Royal Enfield has registered a 133 per cent growth in its May 2022 sales. The company sold a total of 63,643 motorcycles in May 2022 against 27,294 vehicles in the corresponding month last year. The year-to-date numbers, too, witnessed growth. The overall year-to-date sales in FY2022-23 grew by 56 per cent over FY2021-22.
The domestic sales for May 2022 stood at 53,525 units as against 20,073 units in May 2021, registering a growth of 167 per cent. The exports grew by 40 per cent, growing from 7,221 units in May 2021 to 10,118 units in May 2022. The Chennai-based manufacturer further added that it continued a stable performance in the domestic market with an improvement over April 2022. The company sold 53,852 units in April 2022.
Last month, Royal Enfield revised the prices of its motorcycles in the Indian market. The company also expanded its international product portfolio with the launch of the Made-in-India Classic 350 and Meteor 350 in the Malaysian market.
