- Wuling Serpol No. 1 cruiser launched in China
- Mocks the Hond Rebel 500’s design
- Powered by a Loncin-sourced 494cc parallel-twin motor
Chinese two-wheeler brand, Wuling has launched its latest motorcycle, the Serpol No. 1 cruiser. It looks quite attractive and has good proportions too but the design has been blatantly copied from the Honda Rebel cruiser. Here’s what we know about it.
The Wuling Serpol gets a round LED headlight that looks quite attractive and is complemented by the neat fairing around it. Moreover, the slanting fuel tank with the scooped seat and the exposed rear fender, all are similar to the Honda Rebel cruiser. It gets a two-in-one exhaust setup with the pipe draped in chrome. Wuling offers the bike in two colour options - black, and white.
Powering the new Chinese cruiser is a Loncin-sourced 494cc parallel-twin motor with the output rated at 54bhp. It’s mated to a six-speed gearbox and nestled in a double cradle frame. Overall, the Serpol seems is as an exact clone of the Honda cruiser. It rides on telescopic front forks and dual rear shocks while the braking hardware comes from J.Juan with a single front and rear disc with ABS. The setup is mounted on spoked wheels wrapped in road-biased tyres.
Wuling has currently launched the bike in China but is yet to reveal the prices. It also aims to enter the European market in the near future. That said, the brand is unlikely to enter the Indian market anytime soon. But if you are out for a cruiser, then there are various options like the Royal Enfield Meteor 350, Super Meteor 650, Kawasaki Vulcan, and even the Benelli 502C.
