- Powered by a 649cc parallel-twin motor
- Gets telescopic front forks and dual rear shocks
- Unveiled in the international market
Moto Morini has unveiled a new motorcycle offering, called the Calibro 650. It is the Italian two-wheeler maker’s latest cruiser bike, and here’s what we know about it.
The Calibro 650 dons proper cruiser styling and gets a round headlight with a plastic fairing around it, small smoked visor, downwards swooping fuel tank, scooped split seat, and a laid-back rider triangle. It is draped in a two-tone paint scheme consisting of red and black colours. The overall bodywork is quite minimal and gives a good view of the chassis from the sides.
Powering the new Moto Morini Calibro is a 649cc parallel-twin motor and it develops 60bhp. The torque figures are yet to be revealed. It is linked to a six-speed gearbox and is packed inside a tubular frame. The setup is suspended on telescopic front forks and dual rear springs. Meanwhile, the braking duties are done by a single front and rear disc. These are mounted on an 18-inch front and 16-inch rear wheel wrapped in road-biased tyres. Along with an LED headlight, the Calibro also gets a semi-digital instrument console.
Moto Morini has unveiled the Calibro in the international market and is likely to launch it soon. However, its entry into India is unlikely to happen anytime in the near future. But for the ones looking for a 650cc cruiser in India, you have the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650, Kawasaki Vulcan S, and the Benelli 502C as potential choices.
