Royal Enfield to setup own distribution, service channels in the UK

-         Royal Enfield sets up its own distribution in the UK

-         Ended a decade relationship with MotoGB

-         Will launch Super Meteor 650 next year

Royal Enfield has decided to set up its distribution and service channels in the UK. It has cut ties with MotoGB – the brand that has been selling its motorcycles till now.

For this new strategy, a company called Royal Enfield UK Ltd has been established and all the business will be done under this brand starting 1 May, 2023. MotoGB and Royal Enfield had a partnership for almost nine years during which the brand has been able to sell motorcycles in good numbers.

Now, Royal Enfield wants more control of how the business is conducted in the UK as the company has grown quite well. It wants to strengthen its leadership position in the midsized segment and to do that, it needs to be fully involved with the market.

A few motorcycles like the Meteor 350 and the Interceptor 650 have been doing well for the brand in the UK. These bikes have also made it to the highest-selling bikes list. So, we can expect Royal Enfield to get a bit aggressive in the UK market soon after the Super Meteor 650 is launched.
