- Ducati unveils Pro-I Evo
- Priced at Rs 36,000
- This e-scooter gets three riding modes
Ducati’s Urban Mobility division has unveiled their most affordable two-wheeler ever. It goes by the name Pro-I Evo and it is electric.
The Pro-I Evo is the company’s first electric scooter with connected technology. This product is being positioned as an everyday utility two-wheeler that could be used for commutes or going to school. This product is light and can be carried in public transport or even in private car as it can be easily folded. This Ducati is powered by a 350W electric motor that is placed in the front wheel. The battery is a 36V 280Wh unit which the company claims can be charged in little over an hour. The overall riding range is claimed to be around 25 to 30kms on a single charge.
The Pro-I Evo is equipped with three riding modes –eco, D and S. The eco mode lets the user travel up to 6kmph. The D and S modes increases the speed to 20kmph and 25kmph respectively. In terms of other hardware, this Ducati gets some good ones. There’s disc brakes at both end. A colour LED instrument unit has been placed on the handlebar. This system can be connected to the smartphone app that can be downloaded from Apple or Play Store.
Ducati plans to start selling this electric scooter in the next few weeks. It is priced at $477 (Rs 35,000), making is affordable. Unfortunately, this product won’t come to India anytime soon, but maybe we can see some Ducati fanatic importing a unit or two to India.
