Belgian motorcycle manufacturer Sarolea recently unveiled the 2015 SP7 electric superbike at the 2015 Autoworld show in Brussels. This unveiling comes quick on heels of Team Mugen announcing its contender for the TT Zero class of the 2015 Isle of Mann TT - the new Shinden Yon.
Though the new SP7 looks near identical to the 2014 model, Sarolea has made few significant technical changes to the bike to help them score a podium in this year’s edition. The 2015 SP7 gets better aerodynamics thanks to a slimmer body and revised centre of gravity to aid the bike’s handling. The new carbon fibre and titanium parts also mean that the bike has lost almost 11 kilograms.
Though the revised engine produces 25 fewer horsepower than the 2014 model, the 2015 Sarolea SP7 is almost 60 kilograms lighter than the Shinden Yon. The SP7 electric superbike will be piloted by Scottish rider Robert Wilson in the TT Zero class of the 2015 Isle of Mann TT, who will look to improve his fourth place finish from last year’s race.
