Just few days ago, we reported that Mahindra may launch a base variant of their most successful model, the Centuro on January 24. We are just few hours away from the Mahindra press conference and we have managed to get the price of the base variant which is Rs 46,574 (ex-showroom Maharashtra).
Mahindra Two Wheelers have updated the official website of the Centuro with the latest prices. This new variant is called “N1” and the top-end variant is called “O1”. The N1 variant loses out on the digital console and gets a basic analog meter. This means the distance-to-empty and service indicator feature won’t be seen in this variant. Other features like the flip key, follow me lamp, engine immobilizer, anti-theft alarm and LED parking lamps will continue to be seen on the base variant of the Centuro.
The top-end Centuro variant ‘O1’ is priced at Rs 48,574, Rs 2,000 more than the base variant. Mahindra has introduced the base model to specifically target the rural market that is very price conscious. So out of all the features that is loaded on the Centuro, Mahindra decided to give away the digital console meter which we feel is a pretty good decision. Anti-theft alarm and LED parking lamps are few features which are practical for a market in India.
