Sherco TVS Factory Rally Team has announced its rider line-up for this year’s PanAfrica Rally which will be held in Morocco from 21st to 28th September. Competing for the team will be a group of four riders including Michael Metge and Johnny Aubert from France, Lorenzo Santolino from Spain and Abdul Wahid Tanveer from India.
Sherco TVS had clinched the PanAfrica title last year with its rider, Michael Metge, finishing the rally at the first position. While the team is confident about dominating this season as well, with Metge being the defending champion, the team this time has yet another strong contender, Johnny Aubert. The French rider had finished sixth in the 2018 Dakar Rally which is considered as the most extreme rally raid. Notably, this will be Johnny’s debut with Sherco TVS in PanAfrica. Meanwhile, Abdul Wahid Tanveer and Johny Aubert also have multiple rally and enduro wins registered in their name.
The PanAfrica Rally is an open competition which consists of multiple categories such as motorbikes, quads/UTV and SSV (buggies).
