Simple Energy, a Bangalore-based company is all set to launch its first electric scooter in India tomorrow, 15 August across 13 states. The scooter, which will be called Simple One, is expected to be priced between Rs 1.10 lakh to Rs 1.20 lakh.
While full specs of the Simple One are yet to be revealed, the company has announced a few details of the scooter. It will come powered by a 4.8kWh lithium-ion battery that will weigh over 6kg and offer a claimed range of 240km in Eco mode. The Simple One also boasts a top speed of 100kmph and 0-50kmph in a claimed 3.6 seconds.
In terms of features, the electric scooter will be fitted with a touch screen with onboard navigation and Bluetooth connectivity. Bookings for the Simple One will begin tomorrow at 5 pm for a refundable token amount of Rs 1,947. This electric scooter would go head-on against the Ola electric scooter that is also scheduled to be launched in the country tomorrow.
