Steelbird has launched a new range of helmets focused on hygiene for riders, suitably named Hi-GN.
The company claims that the removable and washable interior is made from a fabric that keeps riders fresh even after a long ride in hot Indian summers.
Apart from being anti-allergic and having anti-odour properties embedded in the fibres, the fabric material is also supposed to be anti-bacterial with its bacterio-static coating which inhibits the growth of bacteria. Steelbird says that the feature works well to prevent scalp infections, which is a common problem faced by riders due to helmets and makes the helmet less irritant when it comes in contact with skin.
The Hi-GN helmet range is available in two sizes (M and L) and features multiple vents at both the front and the back for circulation. It also meets the IS 4151 safety standard issued by the Bureau of Indian Standards.
Available at all Steelbird outlets across the country as well as the company’s online store, the price range for the helmets start from ₹1329 for the solid colour to ₹1739 for the one with graphics.
