Steelbird Hi-Tech India has announced that it will introduce its new rally helmet, the SB-51, in the country. The company is pitching the SB-51 as a two-in-one helmet which can be worn in cars as well as on bikes.
According to Steelbird, the helmet has been designed keeping in mind the car rally and motocross helmets. It features a compact design and the extended mouth guard is meant to act as a protective shield for the microphone of the Bluetooth device. The company claims that the shield also helps in reducing the distortion which occurs due to wind while riding. Moreover, the inside padding of the SB-51 consists of a provision for placing speakers of the Bluetooth device. The company claims that this helmet can be an alternative to expensive rally helmets.
The Steelbird SB-51 will be offered in a wide range of colour options such as battle green, hot pink, midnight black, desert storm, maroon, moon yellow and royal brown. While all these are available in matte and glossy finish, the company will also introduce carbon finished paint schemes which include red, white and black colour options. The company is yet to reveal the pricing of the helmet and will announce it in the coming days.
