Supertech has announced plans for introducing its fuel optimiser device for the Indian market. The Italy-based component manufacturer has showcased this product at the India Bike Week 2016, which will go on sale in the next couple of months.
Supertech fuel optimiser is a device which increases the fuel efficiency of automobiles. It has to be inserted into the fuel tank of your vehicle while it is connected to the fuel pump. When the vehicle is in motion, the device emits infrared electromagnetic radiations, thereby altering the density of the fuel. This leads to cleaner combustion of fuel, thereby improving the efficiency and the emission numbers of the vehicle.
In an experimental test that was run in India, the company claims to have reduced the fuel consumption of a truck by 12 per cent. The Supertech fuel optimiser will be available in five sizes, depending upon the size of the fuel tank of the vehicle. For motorcycles, the company recommends the smallest size available - the Supertech A.
The Supertech fuel optimiser has already been certified for the European Emission standards, though to be sold in India, it has to get an approval fron the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI). The product is currently undergoing homologation at the ARAI and is expected to be launched soon after that.
