- Wottan Storm-X launched in Europe
- Gets a 125cc engine
- Will not be launched in India
The Suzuki Burgman Street 125 EX has a new competitor in Europe in the form of the Wottan Storm-X. While it is likely you might not have heard about the company, Wottan is a Spanish company in partnership with Chinese manufacturer, Taro- from whom it sources the scooter.
Now the Wottan Storm-X is powered by a 125cc, fuel-injected, single-cylinder engine that churns out 14.6bhp and 13.5Nm. These power figures are much higher than what the Suzuki Burgman Street has to offer and would realistically go up against competition from Yamaha and Honda’s 125cc and 160cc offerings.
Other than that, the Wottan Storm-X is underpinned by basic components like a pair of telescopic forks up front and twin shocks at the rear. Braking is done by disc brakes for the front and rear and while it isn’t yet revealed, it could get ABS as standard.
Well, with that said, the scooter will not be launched in India but if you are looking for a maxi-scooter in the country, there is the Yamaha Aerox 155 and Suzuki Burgman Street 125 on offer.
