Suzuki has updated its Japanese product portfolio with the launch of a new paint option for the GSX-R1000R. The new Matte Black Metallic with Glass Matte Mechanical Gray, which is only available in the Japanese market, for now, gets Blue colour for the alloy wheels and black decals across the bodywork.
Apart from the Matte Black Metallic with Glass Matte Mechanical Gray, the litre-class supersport model is also available in MotoGP livery (Triton Blue Metallic/Mystic Silver Metallic) and Matte Black Metallic paint option. The 2021 model has been priced at 2,156,000 yen (Rs 14.55 lakh) in the Japanese market.
The mechanical specifications on the 2021 GSX-R1000R include a 999cc, inline-four, liquid-cooled engine that produces 194bhp of maximum power at 13,200rpm and 117Nm of peak torque at 10,800rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox.
The company is yet to announce the India launch details of the GSX-R1000R. The Japanese manufacturer’s premium motorcycle portfolio comprises two models, the 2021 Hayabusa and the V-Strom 650 XT.
