Suzuki Motorcycle India records 27.6 per cent growth in FY21-22

- Sold 7,54,938 units in FY2021-22

- Registered 65,495 unit sales in March 2022

- New Avenis has received positive response

Suzuki Motorcycle India reported a positive finish to the financial year 2021-22. The Indian arm of the Japanese manufacturer sold 7,54,938 units in the recently concluded financial year against 5,91,846 units in FY2020-21. The company sold 65,495 unit in March 2022. These included 50,734 units that were sold in the domestic market and 14,761 units that were exported during the month.

Speaking about the sales performance, Satoshi Uchida, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India, said that despite the COVID-19 induced challenges and supply chain issues, the company successfully registered a sales growth of 27.6 per cent in FY 2021-22. This growth reflects that Suzuki products have been well received by the consumers.

Furthermore, the company recently updated its product portfolio with the launch of the new Avenis 125cc scooter. It also announced the base variant of the scooter, bringing the total available options to three – Standard, Ride Connect, and Race. Elaborating on this new scooter, Uchida added that the sales response on the recently launched Avenis has been overwhelming.
