- Domestic sales stood at 58,603 units

Suzuki Motorcycle India has reported its sales performance for February 2022. The Indian arm of the Japanese manufacturer sold 72,200 units in February 2022 as against 71,662 units in the corresponding month last year.
The domestic sales stood at 58,603 units while exports contributed 13,597 units to the overall sales in February 2022. In comparison, the domestic sales and exports in February 2021 stood at 59,530 units and 12,132 units, respectively.
Speaking about the sales performance, Satoshi Uchida, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India. Said that despite the ongoing Semi-Conductor availability constraints, the company continued to keep its growth momentum in February, 2022. Uchida further added that the two-wheeler maker is experiencing a strong demand both from the domestic and the export market. Thus, the company is cautiously optimistic that the semi-conductor availability will improve and it shall be able to cater to the customer demand in full measure in the new Financial Year.
The company also added in its press statement that it has commenced the deliveries of its newly launched 125cc scooter, the Avenis in January 2022.
