Suzuki Motorcycle India has announced its sales data for August 2021. The Indian arm of the Japanese manufacturer sold 73,463 units in August 2021, reporting a growth of nearly 27 per cent over August last year. In comparison, the company sold 57,909 units overall during the corresponding month last year. The sales figures for August 2021 are nearly similar to July 2021 when the company sold 73,083 units overall.
The total sales in August 2021 include 61,809 vehicles sold in the domestic market and 11,654 units exported. Speaking about the sales performance, Satoshi Uchida, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India, said that the two-wheeler industry is now marching towards normalcy while continuing to adhere to all the precautionary measures with the unlock phase. He further added that the customer sentiments are improving day by day which is a positive news for the industry.
The company currently offers products in the premium motorcycle and scooter segment. The range comprises Access 125, Burgman Street, Gixxer, Gixxer SF, Intruder 155, Gixxer 250, Gixxer 250 SF, V-Strom 650 XT, and the 2021 Hayabusa. The latest iteration of the Suzuki Hayabusa has received an overwhelming response and the motorcycle is currently out of stock (as on September 2, 2021).
