- Record 29 per cent growth in exports
Suzuki Motorcycle India has recorded a 22 per cent growth in the country for June 2019.
The manufacturer sold 57,023 motorcycles and scooters last month as compared to June 2018 wherein it registered a sale of 47,717 units. As for exports, Suzuki dispatched 10,468 units in June 2019; an increase of 79 per cent over the 5,842 units exported in the same month last year. Overall, the sales numbers increased from 52,217 units to 67,491 units in June 2019.
The company attributes the majority of the sales to the Access 125 which has been the highest-selling 125cc scooter for a while now. Suzuki also recently updated the Gixxer SF and launched the new Gixxer SF 250 in the market. The manufacturer is also expected to launch the streetfighter versions of the bikes, the Gixxer 155 and Gixxer 250 in India soon.
Moreover, as we recently reported, Suzuki has aimed to ease the cost of ownership by increasing the duration between service intervals. This revision implies for its small capacity motorcycles as well as its big bikes like the Hayabusa, GSX-R1000, V-Strom 650 XT and the GSX-S750.
