Suzuki has registered a 22 per cent growth in September, with 50,148 units sold in October 2017 as compared to 41,013 units sold in the same period last year.
The domestic sales stood at an impressive 46,020 up from 36,493 units. However, the export dipped by 8 per cent from 4,100 units to 4,494 units in the same period. The Access is the biggest contributor to Suzuki’s growth, while the Gixxer sales have been consistent.
Suzuki is aiming to achieve annual sales of over 10 lakh two-wheelers by 2020. The company will be focusing on introducing new mass market scooters and premium bikes to help it meet the target. The next product in the line is a cruiser powered by Gixxer’s engine. The Japanese bike maker has promised of ramping-up the product line-up and expanding the dealership networks in the upcoming months.
