Suzuki’s TVS Ntorq 125-rival launching in India tomorrow

- Suzuki to launch a 125cc scooter tomorrow

- Will compete against the likes of the TVS Ntorq 125

- Prices and specifications not known yet

Suzuki is all set to launch what looks like a 125cc sporty scooter in India tomorrow, 18 November. Although it was initially thought to be an electric scooter, the latest teaser of the product confirms of it being an ICE vehicle.

Suzuki Head Light

At present, most of the major manufacturers like TVS, Honda, and Yamaha have a sporty, youth-oriented scooter in their portfolio. While Suzuki has two 125cc scooters including the Access 125 and the Burgman Street 125, none of these are as sporty as the likes of the TVS Ntorq 125 and the Honda Grazia. Not in terms of design at least. This new offering will only add more variety and excitement to Suzuki’s portfolio.

Suzuki Tail Light

The teaser video released by Suzuki gives quick glimpses of a few elements of the scooter. It shows the aggressive front apron with a design quite similar to the Ntorq 125. There’s an apron-mounted headlamp and turn indicators reside on the handlebar cowl. Even the tail section is sharp with triangular dual LED tail lamps with conventional blinkers. It will also get a fully-digital instrument cluster which will certainly get Bluetooth connectivity. Moreover, it will be available in a bunch of vibrant colour options.

In the teaser, Suzuki has focused on words like ‘faster’ and ‘zipping’ which means its 125cc motor will be tuned to be quick and fast. Although we have no details of its engine yet, expect the power figures to be similar to that of the Ntorq’s 9.25bhp and 10.5Nm. It might also get 12-inch alloy wheels at both ends to assist in good handling dynamics.

As for the prices, it will most likely be priced similar to the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 which starts at Rs 86,100 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
