- SWM Superdual 650 is cheaper by Rs 80,000
- Limited to 250 units or until 31 March
Motoroyale, the company that sells various premium motorcycle brands like MV Agusta and Norton has slashed the price of the Superdual T, an adventure bike from SWM, an Italian company.
The Superdual 650 which previously retailed at Rs 7.30 lakhs (ex-showroom Pune), now retails at Rs 6.50 lakhs. However, this is a limited period offer for the first 250 customers or until 31 March 2019. This bike was launched in October 2018 but failed to get the required sales due to its pricing. Being a single-cylinder motorcycle, the pricing wasn’t justified considering the fact that a customer could get a multi-cylinder motorcycle at the same pricing, if not less.
The Superdual 650 is one capable adventure motorcycle. The long-stroke single-cylinder engine has all the ingredients to take the rider to various unexplored places. But it lacked the features and some finesse making it difficult to justify its price tag. Plus, the brand recall of SWM was non-existent. So Kinetic will have to build the brand first, and then focus on marketing the products. That way, the company would be able to sell a great experience.
