- SWM makes its debut in India with the Superdual T.

Italian manufacturer, SWM recently displayed their adventure touring motorcycle, the Superdual in India. The brand will be sold under the Kinetic Group’s Motoroyale showrooms in the country.
The Superdual is offered in two variants; the ‘X’ which is a dedicated off-road version and the ‘T’, an adventure touring version. However, SWM will debut with the Superdual T in India. The bike gets an LED headlamp, auxiliary lights, luggage racks, and panniers as standard. It also gets a tall windscreen, high mudguard, high-set exhaust, engine sump guard and crash guards to boost its adventure-touring characteristics.
Powering the bike is a 600cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 54bhp and 53.5Nm of torque. This unit is mated to a six-speed gearbox and final chain drive. Braking power is sourced by Brembo with ABS as standard. However, the Superdual does not get any other electronics.
The bike sports a dry weight of 169kgs and seat height of 898mm with an optional lower seat which reduces the height to 878mm. The bike rides on a 19-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear wheel shod with 110/80 and 140/80 section tyres for the front and rear respectively.
The Superdual T is expected to be launched in India by end of May this year with a price tag of around Rs 5 lakhs- Rs 7 lakhs. It will compete against the Kawasaki Versys 650 in the Indian market.
