We were the first to tell you that Kinetic would bring SWM motorcycles in India through Motoroyale, a division of Kinetic motorcycles, which launched MV Agusta last year. The company has now confirmed the news.
The adventure touring segment in India is garnering a lot of attention from manufacturers lately and the company, known for its Enduro, Motocross and off-road segment roots is planning to launch its version of an adventure tourer, the SuperDual 650.
The motorcycle gets a 600cc, single-cylinder, 4-valve DOHC liquid-cooled engine that puts out 57bhp and 54Nm of torque that is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The Superdual features 45mm upside down forks which offer rebound adjustment and 210mm of suspension travel, while at the rear, the bike is fitted with a fully-adjustable Sachs monoshock with a suspension travel of 270mm. With a seat height of 898mm, the Superdual may not be a perfect fit for the average Indian. In fact, it may well have us recollecting the Jack and Beanstalk story. The bike weighs in dry at 186kg and comes with an 18-litre fuel tank capacity.
Although the prices haven’t been disclosed, the bike will be brought in through the CKD route and will be distributed by the Motoroyale network. The manufacturer plans to launch the Superdual by end of this year and is already in process of homologation.
