Indian motorcycles has added the Indian Scout Sixty to its line-up in India at Rs 11.99 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. The Scout Sixty will be the entry-level cruiser offered by the American motorcycle manufacturer in the Indian market.
The Scout Sixty gets its name from the 60 cu-in motor that powers the cruiser. The 1134cc engine from the Scout has been re-bored for smaller pistons and the new 999cc V-twin petrol mill develops 78bhp of power and 88Nm of torque at 5800rpm. Apart from the engine, there is hardly any difference between the Indian Scout and the Indian Scout Sixty except for the paint finishes and a gear less. Yes, the Scout Sixty is mated to a five-speed one-down four-up gearbox with the gear ratio for the overdrive remaining the same.
The Scout Sixty rides low with a seat height of only 642mm from the ground and runs on the same cycle parts as the Scout. The accessory list of the Scout can also be availed for this entry-level cruiser. The Scout Sixty is being offered in three hues – black, red and white.
