- MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 launched in India
- Priced at Rs 18.99 lakhs (ex-showroom)
- Imported from Italy
Motoroyale, the premium bike arm of Kinetic Group has launched the MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 in India. At Rs 18.99 lakhs (ex-showroom Mumbai), it makes it the most expensive 800cc touring motorcycle in the country. However, the company is offering the bike at Rs 16.99 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the first three customers.
The Turismo Veloce, just like the other motorcycles under the MV Agusta, looks stunning and is highly aspirational. It’s the only touring brand in the country’s line-up. While there’s a big market for touring motorcycles in India, the Turismo Veloce 800 will occupy a very niche space. The company believes that there are a few Indian buyers who will appreciate the Italian design along with some good performance.
This touring motorcycle is built around a steel trellis frame that holds the 798cc in-line triple-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor. It's the same engine that is seen on the F3 800. This motor churns out 110bhp of peak power at 11,500rpm and 83Nm of peak torque at 7,600rpm. This motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox which is assisted by up and down electronic quickshifter and hydraulic slipper clutch. Suspension setup comprises of Marzocchi inverted forks up front and Sachs monoshock at the rear. The braking duties are taken care of by pair of 320mm discs with four-piston callipers at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear, accompanied by Bosch dual-channel ABS.
The bookings for this bike has already begun at all Motoroyale dealerships and is available in three colours- Grey, Mica Blue and Red with Dark Grey as secondary colour. This bike will be brought to India as a completely-built-up(CBU) unit, and that’s the reason for such high pricing. In terms of competitions, there’s the BMW F750GS and the Triumph Tiger 800 XRx, but both these bikes are a couple of lakhs cheaper.
