Apex Racing Academy will be organising the third edition of its riding school on January 5th and 6th 2013 at Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore. This is the only racing academy in India to hold riding school round the year.
The school is divided into three levels .The first level comprises a basic introduction on motorcycles, track etiquette and free run on the track. The second level goes a step further and includes a detailed theory session to tackle cornering skills. It also includes lessons on counter steering and braking.
The third level mostly comprises development and improving of racing skills. This includes lessons on body positioning, race strategy and tactics. At the end of the third level, you will have to go through an evaluation session which includes a written evaluation.
Each level costs Rs 7000 and Rs 20,000 for all three levels. Around 10 Honda CBF Stunners, few TVS Apache RTR’s and Yamaha R15’s are available for about Rs 5000 (inclusive of track and tuition fees). As with any track day full riding gear is mandatory and is available in limited numbers for rent.
