- Activa continues to be the best-selling scooter
- Unicorn records commendable y-o-y sales growth
The Indian two-wheeler sales data for the month of October 2022 has been released and it shows some interesting dips and crests in the sales graph of certain models. While a lot of shuffling has been witnessed on the sales chart, Honda’s Activa continued to be the best-selling scooter in India. Similarly, the Shine too clenched the second spot on the motorcycle sales leader board which continued to be led by the Hero Splendor. Now, to give you the exact numbers, here are the three highest-selling Honda two-wheelers from last month.
Honda Activa 6G/125: 2,10,623 units
Honda Shine: 1,30,916 units
Honda Unicorn: 31,986 units
Although the Unicorn sold much lesser as compared to the Activa and Shine, its year-on-year growth was the highest at 352 per cent. Notably, Honda sold only 7,077 units of the Unicorn in the same month last year. On the other hand, the sales of Activa and Shine grew by 7 per cent and 15 per cent, respectively, over the corresponding month last year.
While Honda has been a bit calm in terms of its Indian product portfolio expansion for a while, the company’s international line-up witnessed a major revamp during this year’s EICMA. The most interesting Honda product at the motorcycle show was its new 500cc scrambler called the CL500 which is based on the same platform as the likes of the Rebel 500 and CB500X.
