EICMA is the world’s largest motorcycle show and the 2024 edition is likely to be the most relevant for Indian two-wheeler enthusiasts. This year, two motorcycle brands - Royal Enfield and KTM - are likely to pull the wraps off some of the biggest unveils.
Royal Enfield Classic Electric
Last year, Royal Enfield unveiled the Himalayan Electric at EICMA. Still, this time around, the Classic Electric is far more important because it is likely to be a production-ready model. The Himalayan Electric was a concept model. However, this Classic electric may carry a different name, possibly the Flying Fea. Once launched, it will be their most expensive motorcycle and could be launched as a limited edition model for now.
There’s another Classic that is likely to be unveiled at EICMA 2024 and this one is the Classic 650. This motorcycle gets the famous 650cc engine from the Interceptor and Super Meteor. But gets the Classic styling and heritage. Once launched, this motorcycle is likely to be positioned between the Shotgun and Super Meteor.
The next-generation 390 Adventure is also being planned for India launch. But before it reaches Indian shores, the bike will be unveiled at EICMA 2024. The Himalayan 450 rival has got better off-road abilities, and it looks like it will get features like cruise control to take care of road riding. The bookings in India are likely to commence from December.
