The electric scooter market in India has seen massive demand over the last few months, thanks to a lot of push by the government and the increasing petrol cost. As a result of these developments, electric vehicle manufacturers have been extremely busy. Here, we will tell you the top five selling electric scooters of November 2022.
1: Ola S1
Ola Electric has been aggressive with its sales plan from day one. However, things changed when the brand launched its most affordable model a few weeks ago. While all the EVs mentioned in this list are from the SIAM monthly sales report, the Ola figure is from FADA, as the brand doesn’t share its details with SIAM. According to the FADA report, Ola sold 16,306 e-scooters last month, making it the highest-selling electric scooter in the country.
2: TVS iQube
The iQube from TVS was the second-highest-selling e-scooter last month. TVS managed to sell a total of 10,166 units, and that’s an incredible number because the brand sold only 707 units in the same month last year. The iQube is known for its rational styling and extremely silent motor.
3: Ather 450X
The Ather 450X is third on the list and close to the TVS iQube. The Bengaluru-based company sold a total of 9737 units all over the country. The numbers are high compared to last year, as the brand has opened new showrooms.
4: Bajaj Chetak
Bajaj sold a total of 6101 units of the Chetak last month. The numbers are decent, as the Pune-based manufacturer hasn’t gone too aggressive with its expansion plan. The demand for Chetak is from retro design and strong brand recall.
5: Okinawa Praise Pro
Okinawa used to top the charts in terms of overall sales a few months ago, but since the time Ola and Ather went aggressive with their expansion, Okinawa has been feeling the heat. The company sold just 3314 units of the Praise Pro last month. The sales have decreased considerably as the brand sold over 5000 units of the same model the previous year.
