- First 20 units were dispatched from company’s headquarters
- Both variants of the Kratos were launched in January, 2022
Tork Motors has recently commenced the deliveries of its electric motorcycles, the Kratos and Kratos R, in India. The Pune-based electric two-wheeler brand launched these offerings in January this year. Although the deliveries were scheduled to commence in April, issues related to the supply of components led to the postponement. The first batch comprised 20 units of the e-bikes which were dispatched from the company headquarters located in Pune.
The Kratos base and R variants vary in terms of motor specifications. The former produces 7.5kW of power output with a maximum torque of 28Nm. It offers a rated top speed of 100kmph, as against 105kmph from the R variant that makes 9kW and 38Nm. Even the 0-40kmph acceleration time varies for both iterations. What’s common is a 4kHW lithium-ion battery that’s claimed to deliver a real-world range of 120km per charge. Notably, the R trim has been facilitated with fast-charging functionality.
On the feature front, the R variant comes with additional goodies like geofencing, find my vehicle, motor walk assist, crash alert, track mode, and smart charge analysis. Meanwhile, the common features in both variants include multiple ride modes, regenerative braking, reverse mode, mobile connectivity, USB charging, anti-theft, front storage box, and OTA updates among others.
The ex-showroom prices of the Tork Kratos and Kratos R are Rs 1,07,999 and Rs 1,22,999, respectively, in Pune after the application of subsidy. The electric motorcycles are currently on sale in Pune, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, and Hyderabad.
