Pune-based electric motorcycle maker, Tork Motors has widened its dealership reach across India. After recently commencing deliveries of its electric motorcycle in Pune, the company has now launched the Kratos R in Surat, Gujarat. Located in the Nana Varacha area, the dealership is spread across 1,500 square feet and is equipped to cater to the customer’s sales and after-sales requirements.
Tork launched the Kratos R electric motorcycle last year. It is priced at Rs 1,68,374 (ex-showroom Surat after subsidy in Gujarat) and is loaded with modern features and premium equipment to justify that price tag. It is propelled by a 9kW motor that produces 38Nm and it can achieve a maximum speed of 105kmph. Powering this motor is a 4kWh, IP67-certified, lithium-ion battery pack which is claimed to deliver a real-world range of 120km per charge. Through a fast charger, Tork claims the Kratos R can be juiced up from zero to 80 per cent within an hour.
Notably, the Kratos is also available in a more affordable standard variant which gets the same battery pack but a slightly lesser powerful propulsion motor. It packs a 7.5kW motor that churns out a maximum torque of 28Nm. While the claimed battery range is the same as the R trim, the top speed is marginally lower at 100kmph which is still impressive for an electric motorcycle. However, the standard model doesn’t support fast charging.
