Tork Kratos R: Review Image Gallery

Tork Motors has finally re-entered the Indian two-wheeler market this year after a brief hiatus with its latest electric motorcycle offering, the Tork Kratos. Let’s take an up-close look at it through these detailed shots.

Usually, EVs are associated with conservative designs or tacky bodywork or even both. But the Tork Kratos’ design indicates otherwise. It’s not only quite youthful but even the proportions are similar to that of a 160cc ICE motorcycle.

Its fascia is sporty and the body panels too are sharp, thus giving it an overall aggressive stance. The side and rear profile are also just as visually appealing.

For most of the part, Tork has managed to keep the fit and finish to the industry standard. It’s the tank’s plastic that looks a bit out of place. But fret not, the company does plan to rectify it in the future.

Tork Kratos Electric Bike Battery Pack

Tork offers the Kratos in a Standard and an R variant. Both models house a 4kWH, IP67 certified, lithium-ion battery pack that is claimed to deliver an IDC range of 180km. However, the Kratos’ motor dishes out 7.5kW or 10.05bhp and a maximum torque of 28Nm and the Kratos R makes 9kW or 12.06bhp and 38Nm of peak torque.

On the feature front, you get LED illumination, two riding modes (eco and power), anti-theft system, crash alert, guide-me-home lights and a reverse mode too. The Tork Kratos R can receive OTA updates too.

The rider triangle is a bit on the sportier side but the comfort hasn’t gone for a toss. The saddle height is accessible, the handlebar wide, thereby providing good leverage and the footpegs are slightly rear-set.

But the absence of the rear brake pedal takes a bit of time to get used to.

The two riding modes – Eco and Power – change the bike’s character quite evidently. In the Eco mode, the Kratos R performs like a 125cc bike. To elaborate, it possesses decent power but not enough for quick overtakes. As for the power mode, as engaging it is, the total range takes a toll and you’d be second guessing in case of long-distance rides.

For an asking price of Rs 1.29 lakh (ex-showroom Pune, post subsidy), should you consider buying the Tork Kratos R? Well, we recommend you head here for your answer.
