- Riders can extract over 150km range in Eco+ mode
- Top speed comes down to 35kmph
- Available for new and existing buyers
Tork Motors has updated its flagship electric motorcycle, the Kratos R, with a new riding mode which is claimed to boost its battery range. The new and existing Kratos R buyers can now extract over 150km range by riding the e-bike in the new Eco+ mode. This is much higher than the previous range of 120km and closer to the bike’s IDC range figure of 180km. Notably, the top speed is limited to just 35kmph in Eco+ mode.
The Eco+ mode is meant for city commuting, a scenario in which higher top speed isn’t as important as good range. This will be in addition to the existing three riding modes including Eco, City, and Sport. When ridden in Sport mode, the Kratos R can attain a top speed of 105kmph. Interestingly, Tork has also equipped the electric motorcycle with a reverse mode to make it easier to move the bike in tricky parking situations.
The rest of the aspects of the Tork Kratos R remain the same as before. It is propelled by a 9kW motor that produces 38Nm and comes powered by a 4kWh, IP67-certified, lithium-ion battery pack. Through a fast charger, it can be juiced up from zero to 80 per cent within an hour. Further, the list of features is quite comprehensive with full LED lighting, fully digital instrument cluster, regenerative braking, mobile connectivity, USB charging, anti-theft, front storage box, and OTA updates. The R trim, in particular, also gets additional features like geofencing, find my vehicle, motor walk assist, crash alert, track mode, and smart charge analysis.
