Tork Motors gets investment from Ratan Tata

- Ratan Tata invests in Tork Motors

- Company recently unveiled its first public charger

- T6X e-bike likely to be launched soon

Tork Motors, an electric two-wheeler start up from based has received an undisclosed amount from Ratan Tata.

This Pune-based start-up has received a few such investment in the last few months. Bharat Forge had acquired a large stake in the company this year. As a result, the company received a huge funding that was poured into developing their electric two-wheeler along with chargers. In fact, the company recently opened its first public charging station in Pune, and more will follow in the city.

Tork’s first product – the T6X has been developed to be ridden at a maximum speed of 100kms in a single charge. The company claims that this battery can be charged up to 80 per cent in just one hour. This EV was supposed to hit the market a few years ago, but was delayed for reasons unknown to us. With this new investment, we believe Tork Motors will be able to roll out their much awaited product as early as possible.
