Triumph Motorcycles has recently launched the limited edition Rocket 3 TFC in the UK, revealing the details and specs of the motorcycle. Now, knowing that the more affordable standard Rocket 3 will be based on the TFC, spied images of the former have emerged on the internet, providing details of the motorcycle.
Spied mostly during a photo shoot prior to its official unveiling, the motorcycle in the image is a GT variant of the next-generation standard Rocket III. Present without any disguise, the image reveals how the power cruiser will look in its final form. Designed for touring, the GT is equipped with a short screen up front for wind deflection, pillion seat with pegs and a grab rail with a backrest for the pillion. Besides that, the bike featured a grey colour scheme with red and black graphic design. The alloys have an alternating brushed finish that looks appealing.
Notably, the spied image also had yet another Rocket III parked right behind the GT. It sported a bold red colour scheme accompanied by a solid windscreen suggesting that it could be a performance-oriented version of the upcoming motorcycle.
While the specs of the standard Rocket 3 are yet to be known, Triumph has revealed the specs of the TFC version which will share the same engine if not the tune with the former. It’s a 2500cc three-cylinder motor that is tuned to produce 180bhp and 230Nm. With those figures, the Rocket 3 TFC is the most powerful Triumph till date and also the highest torque producing production bike in the world.
While a lot of effort and engineering has gone in achieving that, the Rocket 3 does comes with some interesting features in the electronics package that include lean-sensitive traction control, cornering ABS, four riding modes, up and down quick-shifter. It also gets cruise control, hill hold control, keyless ignition and tyre pressure monitoring system. Like other modern Triumph motorcycles, the Rocket 3 packs a full-colour TFT instrumentation equipped with Bluetooth for cell phone pairing, GoPro integration and access to Google maps.
Expect Triumph to officially unveil the next-generation Rocket 3 at the upcoming 2019 EICMA show in November followed by its launch in the market by 2020.
