-New Cosmic Yellow colour introduced
- No mechanical changes
- Goes up against the Ducati Streetfighter V2
Triumph Motorcycles India have introduced a new colour for the Speed 1200 RS. Called Cosmic Yellow, the colour is quite striking to look at. In contrast to the Matt Silver Ice, Carnival Red and Sapphire Black colours that the bike is also available with, the new Yellow colour will appeal to those who want to stand out from the crowd.
Mechanically, there are no changes. The Speed 1200 RS is powered by a 1160cc, liquid-cooled, inline-triple enigne that produces 177.5bhp at 10,750rpm and 125mm at 9,000rpm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
Under the neatly designed bodywork, there’s a twin spar aluminium frame that is suspended by a fully adjustable 43mm Ohlins USD fork and a Ohlins TTX36 monoshock. Braking duties are taken care of by twin, 320mm discs with Brembo Stylema calipers at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear with a Brembo twin piston caliper.
Being the flagship Triumph roadster it is loaded with features. The electronic safety aids includes five customisable ride modes, cornering ABS and cornering traction control.
The prices of the bike start at Rs 17.95 lakh while the Cosmic Yellow colour will set you back by Rs 18.25 lakh, ex-showroom. The bike goes up against the Ducati Streetfighter V2 that is priced at Rs 18.5 lakh, ex-showroom.
