- Speed Triple 1200RR teased
- It’s a full-faired bike
- Will come to India
Triumph Motorcycle has released one teaser video on their social media channels. This video shows a prototype of the soon-to-be-launched Speed Triple 1200RR.
From the name, it is clear that the British-company has developed a full-faired version of the famous Speed Triple 1200RS. And the teaser video also manages to confirm the sportsbike intention. Firstly, the rider has crouched forward. Secondly, the bike is equipped with clip-on handlebars. But the rider is wearing a leather jacket and not full race suit that makes us believe that the Speed Triple 1200RR will still be a road-focused motorcycle.
In terms of power and features, the Speed Triple 1200RR will borrow most of the cycle parts from the Speed Triple. The 1160cc inline three cylinder will be borrowed from its naked sibling too. This motor makes 177bhp at 10,750rpm and 125Nm of peak torque at 9000rpm. This motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox. The RR version is likely to have better suspension, brakes and even tyres.
Triumph says it will reveal more pictures and information on this bike in September. And yes, this bike will definitely come to India.
