Triumph Motorcycles has revealed a new edition of the Thruxton. This new version of the Thruxton series, called the Thruxton RS Ton Up edition, is inspired by the original ‘ton-up’ cafe racers and the first 100mph lap of the Isle of Man TT.
This edition of the motorcycle features an Aegean Blue paint for the fuel tank along with a Fusion White colour for the seat cowl and Carnival Red 100 Graphics on the front mudguard. The side panel features a new Thruxton RS Ton Up logo and hand-painted detailing in Jet Black colour. Triumph Motorcycles will offer a wide range of accessories, including a new Aegean Blue cockpit fairing, to further customise the motorcycle.
The changes are limited to the styling revisions in the form of the new paint scheme. The design and specifications, on the other hand, remain similar to the standard Thruxton RS.
The mechanical specifications retain the 1,200cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that makes 103bhp at 7,500rpm and 112Nm of peak torque at 4,250rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox. The hardware comprises Showa 43mm upside-down front forks and Ohlins twin rear shocks to handle the suspension tasks. The braking hardware includes twin 310mm Brembo discs with Brembo M50 four-piston radial monobloc callipers at the front and a single 220mm single rotor with a Nissin two-piston calliper at the rear.
