Triumph Motorcycle has just pulled the wraps of its most interesting project – the Project TE-1. This electric bike is being co-developed with Williams Advanced Engineering and two more partners.
The British bike maker is leading this project and is responsible for developing the chassis along with safety systems and also getting the riding dynamics of the bike right. Williams Advanced Engineering is helping out with battery design, battery management system and vehicle control unit. The third partner – Integral Powertrain is working on electric motors and a silicon carbide inverter.
As of now, the company has just revealed the electric motor and the frame of the bike. The company claims that a working prototype of the EV is almost ready and will start road testing by the end of 2021. So we can expect a full production model will be ready in 2022.
