- New TF 450-RC bike unveiled
- Gets new 450cc engine
- Priced at around Rs 9 lakh
After weeks of teasing, Triumph has finally unveiled the TF 450-RC, a 450cc motocross bike designed and developed by Ricky Carmichael.
Exactly a year ago, the British brand launched a 250cc motocross bike for racing and the masses. So a 450cc was natural progression for Triumph as it will allow it to bring in a lot more dirt biking enthusiasts into the brand.
This motorcycle is powered by a 450cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor and inside it, there are a lot of top-end components used. There are cycle parts like forged aluminium pistons, titanium valves and also diamond-like carbon rockers. These parts have been used not just to improve efficiency and reduce friction but also to provide a lot of strength and durability at high speed.
The TF 450-RC gets an intake system and a premium throttle body integrated with an Athena engine management system. This Triumph gets a KYB AOS coil suspension forks which features an Air-Oil Separation system that offers smoother and more consistent damping across various terrains. At the rear, there's a three-way piggyback shock that is adjustable for compression, rebound, and preload.
The Triumph TR 450-RC has been priced at Rs $10,995 (Rs 9.23 lakh) in the US and the deliveries will commence in February. Sadly, this bike won’t be launched in India as there’s no market for it.
