TVS Motor Company has announced an investment of £100 million in Norton Motorcycles. The Hosur-based brand acquired Norton Motorcycles in April 2020. A part of the investment fund has already been utilised in building a new manufacturing facility in Solihull, West Midlands, and in the development of upcoming Norton products including V4 SV and 961 Commando.

Apart from the V4 and the Commando, this investment will also contribute to the inception of a few other products for the global market which will come out over the next few years. Moreover, it will create 250-300 direct jobs over the next three years and 500-800 indirect jobs across the supply chain. Notably, the announcement of the investment has been made on the sidelines of Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson’s visit to India.

In a nutshell, the investment will be used towards electrification, technology, manufacturing, sustainability, and the future of mobility, as mentioned by the brand in the press release.
