TVS has always been at the forefront when it comes to providing a platform to aspiring racers in India. Now, continuing with the tradition, the Hosur-based brand has come up with a new TVS Apache Racing Experience (ARE) GP Championship exclusively for the owners of its Apache range of motorcycles.
In line with TVS’ ‘track to road’ philosophy, this competition is an extension of the TVS Apache Racing Experience (ARE) program that was started in 2007. The first season of ARE GP Championship will host over 1,000 participants across 20 cities in India. The participants will not only race against each other but will also get training from TVS’ racing veterans like Aishwarya Pissay, Jagan Kumar, Vorapong Malahuan, and KY Ahamed.
The first set of rounds is scheduled to commence on 15 July in Vadodara followed by Surat and Hyderabad on 16 July. The competition has been split into three categories – Category 1 for Apache RTR 160 and RTR 180 owners, Category 2 for Apache RTR 200 4V owners, and Category 3 for Apache RR 310 owners. One winner from each city per category will showcase their racing skills in the final round in January 2024. The riders will be competing astride race-spec 200cc and 310cc Apaches in the final round.
For the winner of the championship, TVS will arrange an all-expense paid trip to watch MotoGP in Malaysia and a wild card entry into two rounds of the TVS OMC RR310 race. Registrations for the ARE GP Championship are already open online through TVS’ official website.
