- TVS exports over one million two-wheelers in FY2021-22
- Achieved the feat for the first time
TVS Motor Company has surpassed a new export milestone of one million units in FY2021-22. The company crossed this number in terms of exports for the first time and it says the global rise in motorcycle sales has been a major contributor to this achievement. The highest-exported products include the Apache series, HLX series, Raider 125, and the Neo series.
For the uninitiated, TVS has a retail presence across 80 countries in Africa, Southeast Asia, the Indian sub-continent, and Central and Latin America. What’s more, it is also working on entering the markets of Europe and North America in the coming days.
As for TVS’ Indian sales in January 2022, the company had a bit of a slow start with its sales declining by 13.73 per cent year-on-year. The Hosur-based manufacturer sold 2,54,139 units in January as against 2,94,596 units in the corresponding month last year. As for its portfolio, it might get updated in the near future with the expected comeback of the Fiero brand in India. While details on this product are scarce, it might be based on the same platform as Raider 125. You can read more about the Fiero 125 here.
