- TVS Fiero 125 may share its engine with Raider 125
- Likely to feature different design than the Raider 125
- Launch or unveil details unavailable yet
TVS Motor Company has successfully registered the Fiero 125 trademark in India. The trademark is valid up to November 2, 2030. Do note that we had told you about the possibility of the Fiero nametag making a comeback in the Indian market in September last year.
The details about this new model are not available yet, although it could share its underpinnings and motor with the TVS Raider 125. The styling, however, could be different from the existing sporty commuter motorcycle that is already available in India. The TVS Raider 125 uses a 124.8cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, three-valve engine that produces 11.2bhp of power at 7,500rpm and 11.2Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. The motor is linked to a five-speed gearbox. We may see similar output numbers on the Fiero 125.
The hardware, too, should be similar to the Raider 125 and thus the Fiero 125 could come equipped with telescopic front forks and a rear mono-shock to handle the suspension tasks. The braking setup on the base model should include drum units on both wheels. The premium variant, on the other hand, could benefit from a disc brake at the front.
The feature list should remain at par with the existing motorcycles in the 125cc space. Thus, we expect to see LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster, and a combined braking system on the Fiero 125. The premium variant of the motorcycle may also get Bluetooth connectivity.
