- Built in collaboration with JBL
- Gets a 700mm range
- Claims 16 hours of battery life on one charge
Apart from its motorcycles and riding gear, TVS has now entered the helmet intercom market as well. The Hosur-based bikemaker launched its first set of offerings, the SmartXonnect S10X and S20X at the MotoSoul, and here’s what the two products have to offer.
TVS has collaborated with JBL to build its first-ever intercom device offering. The asking price for the S10X is Rs 8,499 while the S20X costs Rs 10,999. And both the intercoms feature a quadrilateral design with a flip-up antenna of sorts. The overall design looks quite simple and the intercoms get a three-button layout. The brand also claims that these can be mounted on any helmet since there’s a clamp system and adhesive mounts.
It features a mesh intercom that can connect up to 20 riders and also has active noise cancellation, dynamic volume control, access to calls, and music is IP67 certified and gets location-triggered voice notes as well. Further, the S20X also features OTA updates and a universal connection along with the aforementioned features.
Not to mention, these two units are Google Assistant and Siri enabled and the S20X comes with a Ride Grid. It allows you to connect with 20 people and has a range of about 1.2km. While both the devices pack a bevy of nifty features, the quality, and overall usability are yet to be tested. And we can confirm the same once we get our hands on the TVS SmartXonnect S10X and S20X.
