-TVS to launch new electric scooter tomorrow
- Likely to be based on the Creon concept
- Gets Xonic performance mode
TVS has released a series of teaser videos over the past few days. These videos show glimpses of the brand's new performance electric scooter which will be launched for the Indian market tomorrow, 23 August, 2023.
This new e-scooter is rumoured to be a production model of the Creon concept that was displayed a few years ago. In fact, the last few teasers showed a fascia resembling the Creon concept. Plus, the overall teased silhouette also matches the EV concept.
In the last teaser video, TVS gave out the scooter's acceleration via the instrument cluster. It had the Xonic mode which is likely to have a top speed of more than 105kmph. There will be more riding modes but primarily for comfort and eco rides. The riding range in a single charge is expected to be around 150km.
TVS has managed to remain tightlipped about this new e-scooter, but once launched, it will take on the Ather 450X and the Ola S1 Pro. The TVS iQube is making healthy sales for the brand, and introducing a sporty electric scooter could make TVS the highest-selling e-scooter brand in the country in a few months.
